# Meditating on Self-Love

I close my eyes

To focus my mind

And examine the thoughts

That are not refined

 

They flow like the breeze

Without much control.

corrupting my mind,

heart, body, and soul.

 

Those views of which,

I no longer cling.

remind me that,

I’m a sentient being.

 

They only have power,

Of that which I give.

So I focus on self-love

So that I may live. 

 

I center myself,

to feel my emotions.

These guiding waves,

With the force of the oceans.
