Philadelphia Magazine looked at the 2015 Money magazine national rankings of colleges that provide the best value and pulled out the Top Ten such schools in the Philadelphia area to create a local “best value” list. Money selected colleges that deliver “a great education, at an affordable price” and “help students launch promising careers.”

Neumann University is #10 on this Philadelphia Magazine list. Here are the rankings:

There’s another way to approach the data that Money collected, though. Rank those same ten colleges by the net price of a degree, and look what happens.

Net Price of a Degree

1.

$108,901         Neumann University

2.

$153,117         Holy Family University

3.

$153,234         LaSalle University

4.

$155,375         Gwynedd-Mercy College

5.

$163,181         Bryn Mawr College

6.

$169,349         St. Joseph’s University

7.

$184,806         Swarthmore College

8.

$188,152         Haverford College

9.

$194,148         University of Pennsylvania

10.

$204,047         Villanova University

Of course, scholarships and institutional grants will lower the net cost of every college’s “sticker price.” Still, when the starting point is as low as ours, chances are good that you’ll save some money.

Even better, we made Money magazine’s list of 25 Best Private Colleges for Merit Aid. Add great merit aid to a low tuition, and we’re one of the most affordable private colleges in the country. Call 610-558-5616 and ask about our merit scholarships and grants.
