Hojjat to Present Keynote at International Conference

Dr. Mehdi Hojjat

Dr. Mehdi Hojjat has been selected as the keynote speaker for the International Academy of Business and Economics (IABE) fall conference in Las Vegas. The IABE named Hojjat’s research paper the best among more than 250 submissions.

 

On October 13, he will deliver his paper and receive an award for his work: The Present and Future of the Accounts in the U.S. Balance of Payments; Will the U.S. Remain an “Indebted Nation”?

 

Dr. Hojjat, a professor of finance and international business, has thirty years of service to the business community and students. He is a graduate of Tehran University where he received his bachelor’s degree in accounting. He received his MBA from American University and also holds a master degree in industrial engineering and a Ph.D. in finance from Lehigh University.

 

Hojjat has published a book (Business Strategy Simulation) and more than 20 articles.  He was the founder and director of the International Trade Development Center at Lehigh University and assisted more than 200 firms in expanding their operations to international markets. His areas of specialization are international business planning and financial modeling.

 

The IABE is a global organization of academic scholars, business executives, students, and public policy makers in business, economics, and related fields.  The academy promotes the international exchange of knowledge and ideas in research, teaching, and managerial best practices to help improve the productivity and competitiveness of all nations.

 

To accomplish its mission, the IABE organizes and holds annual conferences, each of which is an international forum for research papers and scholarly ideas. Its areas of focus include business, international business, economics, e-business/e-commerce, public administration, social sciences, healthcare management, and related fields.
