Neumann University has been named a 2023-24 Military Friendly school.

The Military Friendly® rating system is owned and operated by VIQTORY, a small business that is managed by veterans who were disabled during military service. It measures a college’s commitment, effort, and success in creating sustainable and meaningful opportunity for the military community.

More than 1,800 colleges participated in the 2022 Military Friendly survey. Neumann received a Silver designation for 2023-24, placing it among the top 20 percent in the country.

According to the Military Friendly® Schools website, ratings are assessed through the evaluation of both public data about the institution and proprietary data gathered through the survey, which focuses on military student support and retention, graduation and career outcomes, culture and commitment, and financial aid and loan repayment.

Final ratings are determined by combining an institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet benchmarks for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, and loan default rates.

The 2023-24 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine.

Bettsy McKlaine, director of degree completion and graduate admissions at Neumann, believes that the rating reflects the university’s commitment to the military community. “Neumann University is dedicated to assisting veterans and members of the military in pursuing higher education and achieving their goals. They have served the country, and now, we are here to help them reach their personal, academic, and professional aspirations.”

Neumann accepts payments through the GI Bill® for all eligible recipients and is also a Yellow Ribbon school, supporting the program that helps eligible veterans fund their post-secondary education at the public or private school of their choice.

In 2021, U.S. News & World Report ranked Neumann’s online bachelor’s degree for veterans among the top 100 in the country. Rankings were based on a program’s effectiveness at awarding affordable degrees in a reasonable amount of time.

The Military Friendly ratings program was started in 2003 as an advocacy vehicle to encourage civilian organizations to invest in programs to recruit, retain, and advance veterans as employees, entrepreneurs, and students.
