Neumann Professor Makes Fulbright Roster

Dr. Mehdi Hojjat

Dr. Mehdi Hojjat, a professor of finance and international business at Neumann University, has been accepted as a member of the Fulbright Specialist Roster. The roster is a list of candidates who are eligible to be matched with project requests from overseas academic institutions for Fulbright Specialists.

 

The Fulbright Specialist Program, named after former U.S. Senator J. William Fulbright, sends U.S. faculty and professionals to serve as expert consultants on curriculum, faculty development, institutional planning, and related subjects at academic institutions abroad for a period of 2 to 6 weeks. The program currently has partnership agreements with 140 countries.

 

Dr. Hojjat, who has organized and led several international trade missions, has thirty years of service to the business community and students. He is a graduate of Tehran University where he received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting. He received his MBA from American University and also holds a master's degree in Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Finance from Lehigh University.

 

Hojjat has published a book (Business Strategy Simulation) and more than 20 articles. He was the founder and director of the International Trade Development Center at Lehigh University and assisted more than 200 firms in expanding their operations to international markets. His areas of specialization are international business planning and financial modeling.

 

The recommendation to place Hojjat on the Fulbright Specialist Roster came from the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and the Institute of International Education's Council for International Exchange of Scholars.
