Public Safety Program on October 11

The Delaware County Partnership for Public Safety will hold a special public safety program on Tuesday, October 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon entitled "Embedding a Culture of Safety in Day to Day Life: From the Workplace to Daily Activities." The program will be held in the Thomas A. Bruder, Jr. Life Center on Neumann University's campus. Interested individuals are invited to attend and register on behalf of Delaware County Council, District Attorney Jack Whelan, Neumann University's Center for Leadership, and the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.

Speakers, including representatives from law enforcement, security experts, and other leaders in the field of public safety, will discuss strategies for businesses and other organizations to foster a culture of safety and preparedness among their staff and employees on a daily basis. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about best practices, strategies to raise awareness among staff, and how the use of technology can improve safety in the workplace and other venues. Individuals will also have the opportunity to hear from local executives about lessons learned from past traumatic events.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about real world, practical solutions that will help make their companies, schools, health care facilities, and other organizations safer."

Registration is free and open to the public, however space is limited to the first 300 registrants.

There is no charge to attend the event and alight breakfast will be provided during check-in from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Advanced registration is required and can be performed online on the Partnership for Public Safety website.

About the Delaware County Partnership for Public Safety

The Partnership is a new collaboration between Delaware County Council, the Delaware County District Attorney's Office, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, and Neumann University to promote, support and sustain a culture of safety and security in Delaware County for businesses, institutions and community organizations. Over the course of the next year, the Delaware County Partnership for Public Safety envisions hosting four public educational summits to identify threats, promote best practices and improve collaboration among interested partners to educate the community on a variety of issues related to the safety of Delaware County residents.
