Jillian DeFina Tutak ’15

When Jill Tutak was a student, she could often be found at Campus Ministry events. It was her happy place, where she grew as a person and deepened her faith. Today, she has the opportunity to share this experience with current students in her new role as assistant director of Campus Ministry.

Some of Tutak’s most memorable experiences as a student include the service immersion trip to Wind River Indian Reservation in Wyoming, the pilgrimage to Assisi, Italy, and the SEARCH retreat, where she met classmates who would become her best friends.

“My faith drives me to serve. Campus Ministry helped me see the importance of service,” she said. She hopes to bring experiences like those she had to current students through Campus Ministry programs.

Tutak graduated with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Theology. She went from Neumann to the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen in Scranton, Pennsylvania, where she was the food pantry coordinator, and then to Boston College, where she earned a master’s degree in Theology and Ministry. For the past four years, she has been campus minister at Archmere Academy in Claymont, Delaware.
