Neumann University is home to a plethora of athletes, but there are a few on the campus who set themselves apart from the rest. One of those overachievers is Vince Landis, a junior dual sport athlete on the men's soccer and men's tennis teams.
He achieved two Atlantic East All-Academic Team honors in 2021 with the Men's Soccer team and in 2022 with the Men's Tennis team. Vince is an exemplary student and is a clear leader on and off the field. In the fall, he helped his team get to the Atlantic East championship.
In tennis, Landis has claimed the 2023 Atlantic East First Team Honors for singles, but that is not enough for him.
“The personal achievements are not what I aim for, I am aiming for a championship,” said Landis.
“Although I love sports, I came here for a degree first.”
Landis showed his academic props by earning two Atlantic East All-Academic Team honors.
Landis, from Lewisberry, PA., attended Red Land High School where he played soccer and tennis. He was a four-year varsity starter for the boys' soccer team and the number-one singles player on the tennis team for three of his four years.
He was confident about coming to Neumann and his expectations have been met.
“Neumann seemed like a good fit for me and my interests on and off the playing field,” he said. “This is my second family. I wouldn't trade the moments and memories I have.”
