After reading this week’s scripture, one of the things that stuck out to me was in the Psalm:

“I bless the LORD who counsels me; even in the night my heart exhorts me. I set the LORD ever before me; with him at my right hand I shall not be disturbed.”

These words from Psalm 16 resonated with me because I currently work at a hospital and there are days where I must transport and interact with patients who are positive for COVID-19. Having to transport these patients and enter COVID-positive rooms has been a bit stressful. However, each word in the reading reminds me that God is always with me and as long as I keep him as my right hand all is well. Therefore, I shall not worry or fear.

As I prepare to close out my final year at Neumann University, jasminewords could never begin to explain how blessed I am for the beautiful souls and opportunities I was able to experience during my four years. As I begin to embark on a new and exciting chapter of my life, I am confident that with God at the center of my life, he will direct my footsteps and my peace shall not be disturbed.

I wish all those who from Neumann University safety and love, but more importantly, I want to share another piece of scripture that is important to me for those who may be struggling to find peace during this time:

“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.” JN 14:27
