As my time at Neumann University comes to a close, I have spent that last couple weeks reflecting. One of the biggest impacts this school has brought that has changed my life in such a positive way is Campus Ministry. Coming in as a freshman, I had no real intention of taking part in any of the things Campus Ministry had to offer. However, as I began to meet new people and explore different opportunities, everything led me towards Campus Ministry. The group of people that I met here and began to get so close to have become some of the most important people in my life. The service that we have done and the retreats that we attended together all brought me so close to everyone and everything around me.

One thing I have loved about being part of the Neumann community is having the ability to speak openly about my faith and my life. Before college, I struggled with talking about many different aspects of my life. While at Neumann, I have had so many opportunities to have very real and vulnerable conversations with friends, and even with God. Neumann has been such an amazing outlet for prayer, whether that is in the chapel, or even outside anywhere on the beautiful campus. These are the places I find myself speaking to God the most.

In the second reading for this week (1 John 3:18-24), it talks about how God is greater and more knowledgeable than we could ever know. If we ever have doubts or are struggling to find meaning in our lives, leave it to God. There have been so many instances when I find myself stressing over my future or questioning whether I am making the right decisions. In these instances, I will pause and take a moment to ask the Lord for guidance. More often than not, just taking that time for myself allows me to reflect on my current situation, and brings me back to center.

I am so grateful and proud to be a student at Neumann University. This school has given me so many opportunities for growth and has allowed me to make lifelong connections with so many amazing people. I know that wherever I go throughout my life, I will always bring the lessons and values I have learned from Neumann with me.
