Tropiano also addressed how we can hold student-athletes to high standards of scholarship, athletic performance, community service and sportsmanship.
Sometimes, a “win at all costs” mentality impedes these goals. How can we refocus on honorably playing the game? For one, Tropiano notes, the same values that are professed in the classroom and by administrators – including responsibility and respect – need to transfer to the sports field.
