Even though Neumann has shifted to online instruction and we've all been told to stay home to stop the spread of the Coronavirus, that doesn't mean that there are not opportunities for us all to give back. For those looking to serve, the volunteer opportunities webpage has been updated with at-home and online volunteer opportunities. Here are a few:
- Cradles to Crayons Back to School cards are a creative and easy way to engage in giving back to the community. Cradles to Crayons aims to include a hand-made Back to School card in every one of the 40,000 backpacks that they will distribute at our annual Backpack-A-Thon™ event. If you are interested in making cards for local children in need read the guidelines here: http://bit.ly/C2CBTSCards
- The Assisi House in Aston is home to our retired Sisters of St. Francis of Philadelphia. The spread of Covid-19 has caused the Assisi house to remain in a state of quarantine to protect our most vulnerable community members, our retired Sisters. Being quarantined, as we all know, causes a sense of lost connections. Let’s remind them that we are thinking of them. Notes will be printed and placed on a beautiful pinwheel. Pinwheels will be delivered to the Assisi house where they will be quarantined, and then distributed to our sisters when safe. Please help us share the love with the Sisters during these bleak times. Visit alumni.neumann.edu/sister20 to submit a note of positivity.

How are you serving during this time? For example, Junior Lauren Leicht posted on her neighborhood's Facebook page to offer her and her sisters help to the elderly in the neighborhood by running to the store for them.
