21 Students to Spend Spring Break in Ecuador

Twenty-one Neumann students will forego the "break" in spring break to learn and volunteer in Ecuador.

 

After a few days of sightseeing and immersion in Ecuadorean culture, nine Nursing students will attend lectures on alternative medicine and public health, visit a nursing school and cancer institute, and volunteer at a rural health clinic. At the same time (February 28 to March 9), 12 Education students will attend a lecture on the education system in Ecuador and volunteer three mornings at a local school.

 


The Nursing majors are Stacie Bolgunas, Cendy Castro-Garcia, Connie Deleon, Annika Dow, Jacqueline Goldsborough, Meghan Hawn, Erin Lelko, Amy Mergott, and Michelle Scorzetti. They will be accompanied by faculty members Elizabeth Loeper and Karen May.


The Education majors are Emily Barlas, Brooke Diegel, Erin Dillon, Kristin Harper, Kyle Hrustic, Elizabeth Anderson, Carly Scorziello, Heather Tucci, Desmond Wadley, Rosemarie Webb, Zachary Zimmerman, and Brian Robert Forrest. Accompanying faculty are Stephanie Budhai, Sean McDonald, and Marisa Rauscher.
