Dr. Sharon Schaefer
The Radnor Township School District has appointed Dr. Sharon Schaefer, a Neumann alumna, as assistant to the superintendent for teaching and learning. She will assume the post on March 2.
Schaefer earned her EdD in educational leadership at Neumann in 2022, and she is currently an adjunct professor in the instructional coach and principal certification programs.
Her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and master’s degree in early childhood education are also from Neumann.
“I’m very excited about joining the Radnor Township community,” Schaefer told the Main Line Times. “I’m passionate about teaching and learning. My top priority will be your students, your staff, your community, all of you.”
Schaefer brings extensive experience in public education, with a strong record of leadership focused on instructional excellence, curriculum development, and student achievement.
Most recently, she served for more than six years as director of curriculum and instruction in the Manheim Township School District. Prior to that role, she spent seven years as principal of Brecht Elementary School in the Manheim district.
Her career in education began in the classroom, where she taught at the elementary level in Manheim Township, Central Bucks and Washington school districts.
