The School of Business curriculum continues to grow. In addition to the online MBA program, which debuted this semester with more than 25 students, the school is introducing new undergraduate majors in Healthcare Administration and Business Analytics.
The BS in Healthcare Administration prepares students to manage and lead healthcare organizations in a rapidly evolving industry. Students develop skills in healthcare operations, finance, policy, analytics, and strategic management while grounding their leadership in Neumann’s Franciscan values of service, ethics, and respect for human dignity.
The major was developed collaboratively by Dr. Najiba Benabess, the associate provost for Online Learning, AI and Academic Partnerships, and dean of the School of Business; Dr. Theresa Pietsch, dean of the Jacquelyn Wilson Fegley ’71 College of Nursing; and Hubert Lee, assistant dean of the School of Health Professions and Biological Sciences.
In alignment with Neumann’s expanding portfolio of career-focused programs, graduates are prepared for entry-level and mid-level management roles across healthcare systems, hospitals, medical practices, long-term care facilities, nonprofit organizations, and public health agencies.
The curriculum includes Neumann’s core courses, business competency courses, and interprofessional core courses (all taught in person by Neumann faculty), as well as healthcare administration specialization courses delivered online through Rize Education.
The BS in Business Analytics prepares students to use data, technology, and analytical tools to inform strategic business decision-making and improve organizational performance. Students develop competencies in data analysis, visualization, predictive modeling, business intelligence, and applied analytics, preparing them for careers in data-driven decision-making across industries including healthcare, finance, marketing, supply chain, and nonprofit organizations.
The curriculum includes Neumann’s core courses and business core courses with business analytics specialization courses delivered online via Rize Education. Fully online and hybrid formats are available.
“CEOs tell us that they have plenty of data about their businesses but need professionals who can analyze the data and convert it into a plan of action, a business strategy that will match their vision and the culture of the company,” explains Benabess.
She is working with Undergraduate Admissions to recruit the first cohorts of both new majors for the fall of 2027.
Rize Education provides a program-sharing platform to help small colleges and universities grow enrollment through new degree programs. It makes specialized courses available to more than 125 partner schools throughout the country.
