At the celebration of its 60th anniversary one year ago, the university pledged to provide 60,000 hours of service during the next 12 months. On March 13, Neumann will mark the fulfillment of that promise with Charter Day Mass and a culminating service event.

After liturgy in Our Lady of Angels Chapel at noon, Neumann volunteers will gather in the Mirenda Center from 1:15 to 3:30 p.m. to package meals for Kids Against Hunger, a non-profit humanitarian organization that provides nutritious food to impoverished children and families in 70 countries, including the U.S.

A year ago, 200 students, faculty and staff kicked off the year of service by packing more than 30,000 meals for the same organization.
