Frank Farnese won his 150th game as head coach of women’s basketball at Neumann on January 28, a 65-49 win over Notre Dame (MD). Coach Farnese is in his 10th season at the reins of Neumann’s women's basketball program.  During his tenure, he has led the Knights to a 150-111 overall record and a conference record of 109-42. The Knights have qualified for the postseason ever year under Farnese and for 12 years overall.

Under Farnese’s leadership, the women’s basketball program won two consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference titles during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. In nine seasons, Farnese’s teams have earned two NCAA tournament appearances and four bids to the ECAC South tournament. Coach Farnese has been recognized as the CSAC Coach of the Year twice; 2009-10 and 2010-11.

Farnese has also seen several of his players recognized for personal awards and recognition as conference players of the year as well as All American Honorable Mentions. 

A native of Drexel Hill (PA), Coach Farnese attended Monsignor Bonner High School. He is a 1995 graduate of Neumann University with a bachelor’s degree in education. As dual sport athlete, Farnese was a four-year letterman in basketball and baseball for the Knights. He is a member of the Neumann Knights 1,000 point club, reaching the milestone on February 18, 1995, when he scored a total of 23 points against Allentown College. Coach Farnese ended his collegiate career with 1,026 points, making him the 8th all-time leading scorer in the University’s men's basketball history. As a two time team captain, Farnese earned PAC All-Conference honors his senior year.

After graduation, Farnese assisted with the men's basketball team and then went on to assist at Penn State University-Brandywine. In 2001, Farnese took over the reins of the PSU-Brandywine Lions program, leading the Lions to a playoff berth in his first season as head coach. He led PSU-Brandywine to 30 wins in his three seasons at the head of the program. He returned to his alma mater in the fall of 2004 as an assistant men’s basketball coach. After one season with the Knights' men's team, Coach Farnese took over the helm of the women's program.
