Hundreds of high school students and their families made campus come alive for NeuKnight Day on April 16. Sunny skies with temperatures in the 70s provided the perfect setting for a day to celebrate Neumann’s Class of 2020.

The registration period was made festive by the ubiquitous Neumann Knight, always willing to pose for photos, and lots of good food. Caricature artists entertained in the Bayada Atrium while corn-hole games occupied dozens outside the Mirenda Center for Sport, Spirituality and Character Development.

Jessica Cadorette and DeShawn Lowman, members of the Class of 2016, kicked off the program for the day by recalling their time at Neumann and the uniquely personal experience that helped make them successful.

The new Knights then dispersed into mini-classes, according to their intended majors, to get a taste of the professors who will inspire them during the next four years. Nursing majors almost filled the Meagher Theatre, and Communication and Digital Media majors got an intimate tour of the new $5-million studios. Plenty of classrooms across campus were packed with eager and curious students.

After an opportunity for NeuKnights to meet current students and for parents to meet young Neumann alumni, the day concluded with lunch, an academic and student life fair, and campus tours led by Neumann Navigators.
