Film Festival: Winners across the globe

The Neumann Inspires Film Festival awarded ten prizes on April 18 to filmmakers across the globe.

Winning entries came from Portugal (Marcelo Perreira won Best Narrative for “The Emancipation of Mimi”), New Zealand (Veisinia Moalapau'u Fulivai won the Audience Award for Firstborn”), and Iran

(Melina Kian won Best of Fest for “Excess”).

Closer to home, alumnus Tony Lonetti won the Inspiration Award for “Go Forth and Let Your Light Shine,” a documentary about Dr. Joe Glass, and student Tyler Sondermann won for Best Photograph.

Three Philadelphia students – Kenna Augustin, Gabriella Alexandra, and Amina Frink – won the High School Award for a short documentary, “Blood, Sweat, and Soul.”
