Here’s an IDEA for Our Faculty

Feedback is important. Neumann University uses IDEA (Individualized Development and Educational Assessment) to have its students rate instruction and provide valuable feedback to faculty members.

This year, the evaluation period will begin on November 17 and end on December 7, prior to the start of finals week.  The date that the evaluation is to be administered is determined by each instructor so that the evaluation fits into the schedule for each class.  Faculty members are asked to provide class time (30 minutes) to students to complete the course evaluation, thus ensuring high participation rates.

Faculty should inform students of the date and time of this evaluation and remind them to bring their computing device: laptop, tablet, or web-based phone. A review of the student response form in class before the evaluation date is encouraged so that students are familiar with the IDEA system. A video on the IDEA website provides a good overview.  http://ideaedu.org/services/student-ratings

Prior to the evaluation period, the Institutional Research office will send the course evaluation link to students via their e-mail.
