Standing under the Kinetic Movement Reimagined logo are Neumann Professor Karen Wientjes, Kinetic CEO Darren Rodia, Kinetic COO Cynthia Hill, Kinetic President Gabe Kresge, Neumann President Chris Domes, and Scott Biely, director of Neumann’s Physical Therapy program.

Kinetic Movement Reimagined and Neumann announced a partnership last week to benefit both the growing business and the university’s physical therapy students.

The three-year collaboration provides Kinetic with a branded logo in Health Sciences Center 242 and names the room the Kinetic Movement Reimagined Musculoskeletal Lab.

Neumann receives an annual fee and opportunities for student internships and employment at any of Kinetic’s nine locations in the Philadelphia suburbs. The agreement runs through March 31, 2027, and is renewable.

Two members of the company’s leadership team are alumni. Dr. Darren Rodia ’05 ’06 is Kinetic CEO, and Dr. Cynthia Hill ’09 is the COO. Both earned their DPT at Neumann.

Dr. Rodia has been a guest lecturer at Neumann University, speaking on topics such as health care policy, the business side of healthcare, how to start a business from scratch, and how to grow and prosper in a difficult economic climate.

At the announcement event, Rodia said, “There’s something different about a Neumann student – the work ethic – and it’s an honor to have our name associated with this great institution. It’s a reminder of why we’re here – to help people live their purpose with movement.”

According to Dr. Scott Biely, director of Neumann’s Physical Therapy program, the relationship between Kinetic and Neumann has been mutually beneficial for years.

“Many individuals begin their physical therapy careers as physical therapy aides working at Kinetic,” Biely explains. “They then apply to the DPT Program at Neumann and continue working at Kinetic through the three-year program. After graduation, many return and work at Kinetic as physical therapists. So, our relationship with Kinetic has supported both organizations.”

The company began in 2006, the brainchild of a small team of physical therapists. Since then, according to the company’s website, Kinetic has continued “to adapt and evolve within an industry that’s changed dramatically over the years” based on its philosophy of “valuing and prioritizing community and connection.”

Kinetic offers clients a variety of services: physical therapy to maintain or restore physical function; training with performance coaches and experts in movement science; and Kinetic+, which focuses on movement with guidance from mobility specialists and exercise physiologists.
