Interim Provost Katie Barnes reports that five faculty members in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences were recently promoted. 

Dr. Scott Biely is Associate Dean and Director of Physical Therapy. Scott holds a PhD in Rehabilitation Science from Drexel University and has been at Neumann for 26 years. He has served as an adjunct, full-time faculty member, and program director. 

Hubert Lee is now Assistant Dean of Health Sciences. A veteran of 20 years at Neumann, Hubert earned an MS in Sport Biomechanics from the University of Connecticut. 

Dr. Matthew Mastropaolo was promoted to Associate Dean of Science. Matt holds a PhD in Biological Sciences with a specialty in Microbiology from Virginia Tech. In January of 2024, he will mark 11 years at Neumann. 

Dr. Judith Neubauer, Associate Dean of Graduate Nursing, started at Neumann in 2015 and has been director of graduate nursing since 2019. Judy will receive her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of South Alabama in December 2023. 

Dr. Jude Okoyeh is now Director of the Medical Laboratory Sciences program. Jude holds a PhD in Pharmacology & Therapeutics with a specialty in Parasitology. He has been a faculty member since 2019. 

“I am very excited to have such a talented and collaborative leadership team in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences,” said Barnes. “Together, they will engage our students, create a sense of belonging, and educate the next generation of nurses, scientists and health care professionals.”
