Four lawyers will visit campus on Tuesday, September 27, to provide advice on preparing for and applying to law school. The information session will be held in the Devine Hospitality Suite from 7-9 p.m.

Panelists are Barbara Ayers, Esq., assistant dean of admissions at Widener University; Curtis J. Crowther, Esq., counsel at Young Conaway Stargatt & Taylor, LLP;  D. Ryan Nussey, Esq., counsel at Klineburger and Nussey; and Danielle McNichol, Esq., general counsel at Neumann University. History instructor Andrew Miller, Neumann’s pre-law advisor, will also be at the event to answer questions about the curriculum and pre-law program plans.

The panel members will engage in a round table discussion about the best way for students to prepare for law school and then take questions from the audience. Dr. Lawrence DiPaolo, vice president for academic affairs, organized the program to provide current students with the information they need to assess a possible career in the legal profession.

“For any of our students who are considering law school, the pragmatic advice from four very experienced lawyers will be extremely valuable,” said DiPaolo.

One of the options for Neumann first-year students is a pre-law program launched earlier this year when the University entered into an articulation agreement with Widener University Delaware Law School. The partnership gives Neumann first-year students the opportunity to earn a bachelor's degree and a Juris Doctor degree in just six years.
