LEAD Conference Will Tackle Current Issues

Neumann’s annual LEAD Conference will include presentations on healthcare burnout, COVID’s effect on professional sports revenue, the use of cameras in virtual classrooms, the depiction of African American men on TV, elder abuse, achieving justice through nonviolence, and many more contemporary topics.

This year’s conference is slated for Thursday, April 29, with virtual presentations from 2:40 to 4:10 p.m. and virtual posters on display from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.

Sponsored by the Honors Program, the LEAD conference (Learning, Exchanging, Achieving and Discussing) was begun by two students in 2012 to bring together students, faculty and staff around the idea of research and presentation. Presentations, modeled after TED Talks, can be given by any member of the Neumann community, and all talks and poster presentations are open and free of charge.
