It was all hands on deck for move-in day on August 23.
Staff in Residence Life, Student Affairs and Admissions joined forces with Campus Safety, Facilities, IT, members of athletic teams, and dozens of faculty and staff volunteers to greet families and move 358 students into residence halls.
Students arrived in trucks, vans and SUVs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. on a day that was nearly perfect for transition to campus life – sunny and dry with low humidity. To provide a break from the heavy lifting, Residence Life staff organized a four-hour block party with food trucks and games for new Knights and their families.
More than 90% of the first-year students are from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and Maryland with a few coming from distant locations like Australia, Canada, California, Colorado, Florida, and Idaho.
