Neumann Appoints McNichol as General Couns
Danielle Peyakovich McNichol, Esq.

Neumann University has appointed Danielle Peyakovich McNichol, Esq. to the position of general counsel. In this position, McNichol will have overall responsibility for how legal matters are handled, providing legal advice to the University President, Executive Team and Board of Trustees.  In this position, McNichol will also oversee the Center for Community Leadership at Neumann University.

McNichol comes to Neumann from the World Meeting of Families – Philadelphia 2015, where she served as director of human resources and in-house counsel. In this role, she provided strategic direction of human resources policies for all volunteers, ensured compliance with government regulations, and executed training programs for the international event. More than 1,500 contracts were executed during the World Meeting of Families.

A professional with 20 years of progressive legal and employment management, McNichol has extensive litigation and executive experience assisting employers through rapid change and growth. Prior to the World Meeting of Families, she served as general counsel/corporate secretary for the DE River Port Authority (DRPA)/PATCO (NJ), counsel to the chair of the PA Public Utility Commission for the Commonwealth, and associate VP/human resources/affirmative action officer for the Temple University Health System. She also has an established private practice providing litigation and human resources consulting.

Her credentials include the Juris Doctorate from the Dickinson School of Law with admission to the PA State and multiple federal bars. She earned her undergraduate degree from Susquehanna University. McNichol has served the community through volunteer work with the Rachel Kohl Library Board, Thornbury Township Historical Society, the Pennsylvania Bar Association, and the American Bar Association. She resides in Glen Mills, PA, with her husband, John, and their three children, John, Matthew, and Samantha.
