A recognized advocate for personal and professional growth, Benabess completed the prestigious Future Leaders program through Harvard Business School Executive Education in 2020. Her previous roles include serving as Dean at the Tabor School of Business at Millikin University and as Director of the School of Business and Management at Norwich University.

Her exceptional leadership was honored with the Dean of the Year award from Academic Global Business Advancement (AGBA) in August 2021, acknowledging her significant efforts in advancing global diversity and inclusion.

“I am honored and excited to be joining the Neumann University community,” said Benabess, “and look forward to the journey ahead.”

Benabess is not only an acclaimed academic but also an influential author and speaker. Her research has been showcased at national and international conferences, and her papers are featured in respected peer-reviewed journals.

In November 2023, she published her groundbreaking book, Irreplaceable Human Intelligence: Surpassing AI Outreach, which explores the critical role of human intellect in the age of artificial intelligence.

Her leadership and achievements were highlighted in May 2024 by USA Today and the International Business Times.

“Growing up in Morocco, a multilingual and multicultural environment, Najiba discovered the power of synergy, collaboration, and diversity early on,” writes Chris Gallagher for USA Today.

“Leaders and executives of businesses of all sizes can use Irreplaceable Human Intelligence, which teaches them how to leverage AI harmoniously and without neglecting the human element,” explains Declan Lafray in International Business Times.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Benabess explains that she is deeply committed to community engagement, driven by a passion for empowering individuals and fostering growth.

She earned her PhD in Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and her master’s degree from Western Illinois University.

Her new role at Neumann University begins on May 1, 2025.
