NU Knight Prep Days for first-year students were held on August 11 and 13, with four more sessions scheduled for later in the month. New students checked in at the Mirenda Center, met their Prep Day groups, engaged in a Campus Ministry session, and attended their INT 101 classes in Bachmann. The program concluded with box lunches and some optional on-campus activities.
Students embraced the new campus protocols by submitting self-health questionnaires, wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and using hand sanitizer.
Classes start on August 31 with a hybrid model of instruction that keeps classroom occupancy low and provides an in-person classroom experience for the majority of students. Of course, students who prefer online learning have that option.
