You may have already seen the bus ads with the catchy copy: From App to Cap. That’s just one part of Neumann’s new three-month transit marketing campaign with SEPTA.
The “From App to Cap” promotion completely covers both sides of five buses that travel through Delaware County and South Philadelphia. It appeals to adults who want to finish their degree online with a heartfelt message: “Because your story deserves a graduation chapter.”
A more targeted ad, marketing Neumann’s new MBA program, appears on the back panels of five buses in the same areas. The pragmatic copy emphasizes three points: “100% online, 12 months, $500/credit.” Very businesslike and easy to absorb, especially if you’re sitting in traffic with a bus blocking your view.
The last segment of Neumann’s outdoor campaign is a traditional undergraduate promotion, which appears on 15 bus shelters in Center City and South Philadelphia. A riveting photo of 2025 graduate Nadirah Roberts – dressed in cap and gown, holding her diploma, and beaming a broad smile – dominates the design, above copy that embodies Neumann’s promise: “Personal enough to know you. Big enough to launch you.”
“This academic year, our marketing efforts are focused on increasing brand visibility, supporting enrollment growth, and strategically targeting undergraduate, graduate, and degree completion audiences,” said Melissa Paone, executive director of Marketing and Communications. “Our partnership with SEPTA is an important part of that strategy, giving the University high visibility in a crowded higher education landscape. SEPTA reports that approximately 700,000 riders access its services daily. This initiative provides an opportunity to put the Neumann brand in front of a broad and diverse audience.”
The campaign began on August 3 and is scheduled to run through October 25.
