Students at the 2024 LEAD Conference Poster Symposium

The call for proposals for Neumann’s annual LEAD Conference is now open, with submissions due by Friday, April 11, 2025. This year’s event will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025, featuring speaker presentations beginning at 3:15 p.m. and the Poster Symposium starting at 4:30 p.m. in the Multipurpose Hall of the Bruder Life Center.

According to NU Honors Association president Samantha Holmburg, the LEAD Conference—an integral part of Neumann’s Honors Program—offers students a chance to step outside their comfort zones and grow academically and personally through public presentation and discussion.

An initiative of the Honors Program, the LEAD Conference—short for Learning, Exchanging, Achieving, and Discussing—was founded by two students in 2012 to foster a campus-wide celebration of inquiry and expression. Inspired by the style of TED Talks, the conference invites members of the Neumann community to present their ideas in a dynamic and inclusive forum. All sessions and poster displays are free and open to the public.

If you’ve been working on a project, exploring a big idea, or diving into a research topic, this is your platform to shine. Submit your proposal by April 11 and be part of this inspiring campus tradition.
