Sr. Marguerite O'Beirne, OSF, Receives Iron Mike Award

Trenton Catholic Academy (TCA) bestowed its 2015 Iron Mike Distinguished Educator Award upon Sr. Marguerite O'Beirne, OSF, on Saturday, May 2.

 

Currently the vice president for mission and ministry at Neumann, Sr. Marguerite served as principal of McCorristin Catholic High School (the former name of TCA) from 1983-1995. She has been a vice president at Neumann since 1997.

 

Sr. Marguerite was selected because of her longtime commitment to education; her authorship of various publications for the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities and Today's Catholic Teacher; and her service to Drexel Neumann Academy, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and the Irish American Business Chamber and Network.

 

She has previously been honored by the Irish Voice (Irish Education 100), the Friendly Sons & Daughters of St. Patrick, Mercer County (Woman of the Year), and the Ancient Order of Hibernians (Woman of the Year).
