How can America be a safe haven for thousands of refugees without becoming a victim of the worldwide terror threat? Six panelists in a Syrian Refugee Forum will present their answers to this question on Monday, April 4, at 12:30 in the Neumann University Library.

Presenters include:

Asheq Fazlullah serves on the executive committee of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Philadelphia. He is the Delaware Valley Speakers Bureau’s top expert on the Syrian refugee field. 

Cheryl Mrazik is a relationship manager for Catholic Relief Services (CRS) with service project experience across the globe. She recently returned from an assignment in Iraq and Turkey, where CRS is supporting displaced Iraqis and Syrians.

Hasan Yönten holds a Ph.D. in political science and international relations, and is an expert on multilateralism in international migration. He earned his bachelor and master’s degrees from Bogazici University in Istanbul, Turkey.

Christine Flowers is an attorney who graduated from Villanova University Law School. She specializes in the fields of asylum and refugee law, family immigration, employment immigration, and criminal immigration.

Joseph Gosseaux is head of the Criminal Justice Department at Neumann University and a retired special agent from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. 

Devin Henry is a criminal justice major at Neumann University and a former U.S. Marine, who spent much time in the Middle East providing security for various embassies and ambassadors.
