Transfer students Chandeep Kaur and Owen Brown earned full scholarships and have tuition-free paths to bachelor’s degrees.

Each year, Neumann awards two full-tuition scholarships to transfer students, one from Delaware County Community College and another from Camden County College.

Kaur, an Upper Darby resident and recent graduate of DCCC, will study Criminal Justice and minor in Cybersecurity. She completed her associate degree in May, was a student ambassador and mentor, held leadership roles in the women’s soccer club and multicultural club, and earned the Outstanding Student Achievement Award. A Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society member, she also volunteered extensively in the community.

Originally from India and raised in Greece, Kaur has served as a volunteer firefighter with the Llanerch Fire Company for the last three years and works with the Red Cross on fire prevention programs.

“I grew up in Greece, and we have a lot of wildfires there,” she explains. “I saw firefighters battling them, and I always wanted to help. Coming to America gave me the opportunity to learn faster and get involved with the community.”

Brown graduated from Camden County College in May with a degree in Audio Production. He served as Top 40 Director for CCC’s radio station, 91.5 WDBK, where he also earned the Creator Innovation Award.
He will pursue a degree in Communications and Digital Media and plans to continue his passion for radio as part of the on-air talent lineup at 98.5 WNUW.

“At CCC, I hosted shows about sports and music. My long-term goal is to have my own sports show on TV.”
