U.S. News & World Report has ranked Neumann among the best in the country for undergraduate nursing in its Best Colleges 2027 issue.

The ranking is a recognition of the university’s signature program. Over the last four years (October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2025), according to NCLEX-RN results released by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing, Neumann University’s nursing graduates achieved a 96.9% first-time test-takers pass rate on the exam required for licensure as a Registered Nurse.

During the same time period, the pass rate was 89.98% in Pennsylvania and 86.33% nationally.

“The sustained strength of Neumann’s nursing program comes at a time when the demand for well-prepared nurses continues to grow nationwide,” said Dr. Chris Domes, president of Neumann University. “Neumann’s consistently high pass rates reflect the program’s ability to prepare nurses who are ready to meet the needs of patients and employers from day one.”

The nursing program is the university's most popular undergraduate major, enrolling approximately 120 first-year students annually. All nursing faculty bring real-world clinical experience to the classroom.

Neumann was also ranked among the Best Regional Universities in the North and as one of the Best in the North for social mobility by the magazine.

The university has been ranked among the best for social mobility for seven consecutive years since 2021 when U.S. News & World Report first included rankings for this category, which identifies colleges that are successful at enrolling and graduating significant proportions of economically challenged students.

“We are proud of our social mobility ranking," said Dr. Domes, "because of the large number of first-generation college students that we serve.”

In the fall of 2025, 62 percent of Neumann’s first-year students were the first in their family to attend college.
