For the fifth year in a row, Neumann University hosted hundreds of young scientists in one of the premier science competitions in the nation, the Southeastern PA Science Olympiad Tournament.

On February 28, students from more than 50 middle schools and high schools in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties competed for medals in two age groups (grades 6-9 and grades 9-12) and for a place in the state competition.

This year’s contests included Mousetrap Vehicle, Hovercraft, Potions and Poisons, Helicopter, and Roller Coaster.

The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education. The Science Olympiad State Final Competition will be held at Juniata College on April 28.
