For the fifth year in a row, Neumann University will host hundreds of young scientists in one of the premier science competitions in the nation, the Southeastern PA Science Olympiad Tournament.
On February 28, students from over 50 middle schools and high schools in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties will compete for medals in two age groups (grades 6-9 and grades 9-12) and for a place in the state competition.
Registration begins at 7:15 a.m., event competition runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the day closes with an awards ceremony at 4 p.m.
This year some of the competitions include: the Mousetrap Vehicle, Potions and Poisons, and the Roller Coaster.
The Science Olympiad State Final Competition will be held at Juniata College on April 28.
The Science Olympiad is an international nonprofit organization devoted to improving the quality of science education, increasing student interest in science and providing recognition for outstanding achievement in science education.
