2024 Day of Giving: You Answered the Call

On March 13, 2024, Neumann University hosted our fourth annual Day of Giving – an occasion that unites our community in a collective spirit of generosity and shared purpose. A day when alumni, families, students, faculty, staff, and friends unite to celebrate the University we love.  The day when making a gift of any amount makes a difference – a day when small gifts are mighty and make BIG things happen.

The call was answered.

With enthusiasm and a commitment to making a difference, our university community joined forces to amplify our impact and create lasting change. As the day unfolded, the outpouring of support surpassed all expectations, propelling us toward remarkable achievements and reinforced the profound impact our collective efforts can have on the future of our institution.

With 789 gifts made, Neumann surpassed our goal with flying colors, receiving an impressive total of $180,014. In a collective effort to build advocacy for the day, we had $41,500 in matches and challenges, and community advocates generated over 1,000 clicks for a total of $5,295 through 87 gifts.

Congratulations to the top student advocates for this year:

Carlos Wylde-Gladbach inspired six people to donate.

Alyssa M. Papasodero motivated a donor to give the highest gift made through an advocate.

Matthew J. Randall spread the word in large numbers and had 70 clicks.

The support spanned 30 of the 50 states nationwide. Pennsylvania took 1st place, with 349 gifts, New Jersey came in strong at second place with 170 gifts, and Delaware remained competitive at 67 gifts.

Meanwhile, on campus spirit was contagious. There were performances from our dance team, visits from Sir Francis, and student support was at an all-time high with $4,876 in gifts! Our faculty and staff raised their hand by donating $11,705.

Alumni, family and friends showed their pride by raising over $138,000 through 518 gifts. Of the 61 classes that have or are on path to graduate, 45 participated in the Day of Giving. Classes of 2014 and 2015 earned the most donors, but a special recognition goes to the top three classes for earning the most dollars:

 Class of 1991 - $10,163

 Class of 2004 - $5,724

 Class of 2015 - $4,368

Our athletic teams and clubs brought their competitive skills into play for the day and raised $40,548 from 543 gifts. Congratulations to the following teams for crushing their goals and helping Neumann to move the mark:

 Men’s Lacrosse raised $10,600 with 52 gifts

 Men’s Soccer raised $6,774 with 152 gifts

 Women’s Soccer raised $4,860 with 90 gifts

The Day of Giving is about more than just a dollar amount – it is about the impact we have on the transformation of the future of our students here at Neumann University. Every day we are called to make a difference in the lives of others, and our numerous scholarship funds allow us to create opportunities for students that hope to one day call themselves an alumnus of Neumann University. This year, collectively our scholarship funds raised almost $60,000.

From all of us in the Neumann University...

There is still time to make an impact!

For almost 60 years, donors have played a vital role in supporting a catholic education in the Franciscan tradition. Your support makes it possible for Neumann students to receive a values-based and academically excellent education.

Gifts to The Neumann Fund are immediately used to support the University’s greatest priority. However, gifts to any fund count on the Day of Giving. You can participate by giving to the area of the university that matters most to you, such as the Pathway to Graduation (scholarship), athletics, Campus Ministry or countless other funds.

Today, and everyday, gifts of any amount make a difference – collectively, gifts make big things happen. Every gift makes a difference!
