2025 Day of Giving: You Made Mission Moments Possible

On March 12, 2025, Neumann University hosted our fifth annual Day of Giving – an occasion that unites our community in a collective spirit of generosity and shared purpose. A day when alumni, families, students, faculty, staff, and friends unite to celebrate the University we love. The day when making a gift of any amount makes a difference – a day when small gifts are mighty and make BIG things happen.

Together, we made Mission Moments Possible.

With passion and a shared dedication to making a difference, our university community came together to maximize our impact and drive lasting change. Throughout the day, the overwhelming generosity exceeded any expectation, fueling extraordinary accomplishments and reinforcing the profound impact our collective efforts have on the future of our institution.

With 660 gifts made, Neumann surpassed our goal with flying colors, receiving an impressive total of $183,346. In a collective effort to build advocacy for the day, we had $27,965 in matches and challenges, and community advocates generated over 1,700 clicks for a total of $10,130 through 135 gifts.

Congratulations to our top advocates:

Hayley Strecker, a junior pre-athletic training major, along with Carlos Wylde-Gladbach ’24 and Nicholas Coppola ’24, went above and beyond by spreading the word on social media- driving the most donors, dollars, and clicks.

The support spanned 30 of the 50 states nationwide. Pennsylvania took first place, with 351 gifts, New Jersey came in strong at second place with 101 gifts, and Delaware remained competitive at 65 gifts. Meanwhile, on campus, students showed their support with enthusiasm, highlighted by a visit from Sir Francis and $5,192 in gifts. 102 of our faculty and staff raised their hand by donating $16,601.

Alumni, family and friends showed their pride by raising over $130,000 through 486 gifts. Of the 61 classes that have or are on path to graduate, 46 participated in the Day of Giving. Classes of 2017 and 2022 earned the most donors, but a special recognition goes to the top three classes for earning the most dollars:

   Class of 1996 - $25,060

   Class of 1987 - $2,375

   Class of 2022 - $2,290

Our athletic teams brought their competitive skills into play for the day and raised $38,514.86 from 416 gifts. Congratulations to the following teams for helping Neumann to move the mark:

   Women’s Lacrosse raised $5,460 with 43 gifts

   Women’s Soccer raised $4,774 with 59 gifts

Men’s Ice Hockey raised $2,880 with 17 gifts

The Day of Giving is about more than just a dollar amount - it’s about shaping the future of our students at Neumann University. Every day, we are called to make a difference, and our scholarship funds help create opportunities for students aspiring to become Neumann alumni. This year, thanks to our community’s generosity, these scholarship funds collectively raised $71,933. Mission & Ministry also made a significant impact, raising over $10,000!

From all of us in the Neumann University community, thank you for making Mission Moments Possible!

There is still time to make an impact!

For 60 years, donors have played a vital role in supporting a catholic education in the Franciscan tradition. Your support makes it possible for Neumann students to receive a values-based and academically excellent education.

Gifts to The Neumann Fund are immediately used to support the University’s greatest priority. However, gifts to any fund count on the Day of Giving. You can participate by giving to the area of the university that matters most to you, such as the Pathway to Graduation (scholarship), athletics, Campus Ministry or countless other funds.

Today and every day, gifts of any amount add up to create a meaningful impact- together, we make Mission Moments Possible!
