What You’ll Gain From an Information Session:

We know your time is valuable, and we want you to come to the event well-prepared to make the most of your time. Here are just some of the amazing benefits you can expect from an academic information session at Neumann University:

An inside look at programs:

Coming to an information session means you get a first-hand look at our programs, from graduate and doctoral programs to our accelerated degree completion programs. You'll have the opportunity to decide which program is right for your professional future.

You’ll also take a tour of our scenic campus and see what life as a student is like.

Advice from experts in real-time:

Our faculty members will be present to answer all of your questions about specific degree completion and graduate programs. You'll have the opportunity to inquire about internship opportunities, student success stories, job placement statistics, and more.

You'll also have the option to speak with financial aid advisors who can help you develop a plan to fund your degree.

Personalized schedule planning:

We want to give you a roadmap to success. During the event, you'll have several opportunities to explore how to develop an individualized plan for obtaining an advanced degree — whether that means you're considering degree completion or grad school.

You’ll leave the session knowing how to reach your goals on a timeline that works for you.

Questions to Ask At a Graduate School Information Session:

As you consider your next academic venture, you might have a lot of questions, and that’s okay! We’ve heard them all, and we’ll be ready to answer you.

Don’t know where to start? We’ve broken down the most common questions you should ask:

Financial questions:

Many students have pressing questions about financial aid. Here are some of the questions we encourage you to ask at the event:

  • What are the financial aid and scholarship options?
  • Do students usually work while attending classes?
  • What sorts of graduate assistantships do you offer?
  • What kinds of loans are available?
  • What kind of military and veteran benefits exist?

Academic questions:

Ask about program specifics — from course load to class schedules. Here are some questions to get you started:

  • What are class sizes like?
  • What exactly is an accelerated degree completion program?
  • How long will this graduate program take me to complete?
  • Are the classes in person, online, or in a hybrid format?
  • What are the options for experiential learning?

Career questions:

It’s worth asking some questions regarding what alumni have experienced post-graduation. Some thought-provoking questions to ask are:

  • What are your job placement statistics like?
  • What outside organizations do your programs partner with?
  • What internships are available to students while in the program?
  • What is the alumni network like?
  • How will the university help me succeed after I graduate?
