Patrick Mahomes is on track to be the best-ever

Number 15 entered the list of all-time best quarterbacks after his third win in the Super Bowl.

Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs 28-year-old star quarterback, climbed the list of the best quarterbacks in the National Football League after he brought the Chiefs to winning their third Super Bowl and second back-to-back.

Within his 7 NFL seasons, Mahomes managed to win 3 Super Bowls, 3 Super Bowl MVPS, 2 league MVPS, and is a 6 time Pro Bowl honoree.

When comparing quarterbacks, football fanatics and reporters typically compare Mahomes with former football quarterback star, Tom Brady.

The legacy that Brady left behind before retiring initiates sports analysts and fans to compare Mahomes to him. Brady won seven Super Bowls, the most ever, but Mahomes is in striking distance of even that mark. Although Brady beat Mahomes in the 2019 AFC Championship game, Mahomes is quickly advancing in stats.

Both quarterbacks won their first Super Bowl at the age of 24 and both have skill sets that make them stand out amongst other quarterbacks.

However, Mahomes is rising to be the best quarterback in NFL history.

Mahomes is currently the youngest player ever to win league MVP and the Super Bowl MVP in the same season. According to Opta stats, he is the first player of all 4 major US sports leagues (NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL) to win the championship MVP award 3 times in the first seven seasons.

In comparison to Brady, Mahomes has more playoff wins and AFC titles in his first 6 seasons as an NFL starter.

According to CNN Sports, Mahom`es holds the regular season record for total yards at 5,614 and also holds the record for the most passing yards per game in NFL history at 296.1.

He shares the record for most touchdown passes, 11, in a single postseason run and entered Super Bowl LVIII with the highest career playoff passer rating of 106.3.

With the statistics that Mahomes has reached thus far, he is well on his way to becoming the best quarterback in NFL history.
